per0781
does anyone have the part number for the IAT sensor for the 3.1L MPFI engines? I have it circled in the pic right?
gmrulz4u
I believe it to be: 25037357 However, it appears GM no longer sells this? Unless the NAPA site is messed-up, because it says for VIN T, OEM # is 25037357. The NAPA Echlin one is $17.49 and part #CRB22302. The AC Delco part # is: 25171651
nerfbars
I just eliminated mine when I switched to using the air intake and cone filter. I just plugged a resistor into to the plug and taped it up. Supposely the resistor makes the computer think it is cold all the time and advances the timing. I dont know if I notice an improvement in power but I also dont notice and disadvantages. The resistor is probably like $.50 at Radio Shack. Just a thought! per0781
u did it what those little things on ebay where it "tricks" the computer but it really doesn't. The O2 sensor compensates the difference.
Redfox340
I just eliminated mine when I switched to using the air intake and cone filter. You should acutally keep it. Like per0781 said, the ECM adjusts due to a fouling out oxygen sensor. For best overall drivability, you should re-install it; it'll help out in the long run for others parts / system on the motor (eg: EGR, O2, PCV, etc.). - RedFox340
