Canada
Nearly every GM FWD uses that size.....most part stores have the GM FWD axle nut socket in stock.
gp90se
Nearly every GM FWD uses that size.....most part stores have the GM FWD axle nut socket in stock. N/J bodys are 30mm, my s10 blazer and w's are 36 (but a 35mm fits-ish)
z34duck
yea you can pick them up at auto zone for like $12 and if you own a w body money well spent you will use it again im sure

Just used one today as a matter of fact, changing my wheel bearing, again.
RJansen658
actually, all w-bodies are 35mm... yes they do make 35mm axle nut sockets.... most places don't have them, but some places rent them when you get an entire set.

GutlessSupreme
x2 everything I've ever read says 36mm for ours.
Bizzo
Well I just changed out my passenger side wheel bearing and half shaft and 36mm is what my axle nut used, but maybe some after market ones are 35mm
gp90se
the axle nut is a 35mm, but most parts stores dont sell a 35mm socket, a 36mm works fine but it has more play then a properly sized socket should
FordBoy
Yup when i did both my CV shafts the nuts (haha nuts haha) were "fit" 36 bearly but it got the job done
19Cutlass94
36mm=1.44" 1 7/16"=1.4375" 35mm=1.4" 1 13/32"=1.40625" Now if you can find a 1 13/32" socket.....
R Dubya
I have a 1 and 13/32" socket, and it fits better than the 36 mm I've had to borrow before I got that. It's also a 1 inch drive. That set must weigh about 45 lbs.
