PCGUY112887
Anytime I put any decent ammount of load on my engine, I get a flashing SES light that tells me Cyl 3 misfire. Plugs and wires were replaced last spring so I dunno how it could be them. Fuel injectors, well they were put on a machine and cleaned and I put Seafoam in my tank every few fillups. I can't figure out WTF is wrong! If it was a coilpack/ICM woulden't I have problems on more cyl's than just 1? Also anytime I'm going up a hill or going fast on the highway and I try to accelerate, the car shakes VERY bad as if it can't get into third gear, or it can't make it out of lockup. The flashing SES light usually comes around a similar time (not always) but since it won't set any tranny codes, the tranny guy won't believe a word I say! He's drove it a few times and can never feel anything wrong, but then I take it out and bam the whole car feels as if it's going to fall apart as soon as i'm in OD and I try to go up a hill or accelerate. WTF do I do?!? I can't stand this shit anymore.
Crazy K
try swapping the number 3/6 coil pack for one of the others on your car... see if the misfire changes cylinders! it sounds like a definite misfire to me...
PCGUY112887
Any idea about the shutter when coming out of OD? At first I thought it was the misfire shuttering, however I can get a flashing SES without feeling anything, and I can shutter my nuts off with no SES. Crazy K
shutter coming out of overdrive... might be something sticking in the tranny, such as a slowly releasing tcc seloind? One problem at a time... try swapping the coils first. second... car, year and engine???

Crazy K
could be a sticky tcc selonoid. do your rpms drop realy low and fluctuate while this is occuring? may I recommend adding your car info to your sig?
PCGUY112887
Added to sig, thought I had it on here... must have been 60degreev6 I put it in my sig. I'll have to go out and note the RPM's, however I remember testing something by going out and waiting till it was in OD and the TC locked up, and taping on the brake to see if the RPM's would jump to see if the TC unlocked... it passed. joey b
inspect the wires and change the plugs. The plugs are cheap and relatively easy. The wires may be damaged rather than worn.
PCGUY112887
Well I'm sitting out in my car right now and I just swapped some coil packs, miss is still on cyl 3. I guess I'll try to swap some wires around or find another one to try. It MAY be a plug but damn I dunno why it would be, they used to be fine last spring when they got changed. PCGUY112887
OK, swapped cyl 3 and cyl 5 wires... now nothing will act up, ran around for almost an hour going WOT all over, going up hills and punching it, everything... works great.
