Flushing transmission by cooler lines

For those who have done this, which line is the "outlet" from the transmission? The top or bottom one? I'd rather have fluid come from a line so I can put on a hose to collect it to a bucket. Don't want it spewing tranny fluid out the radiator connector.

What do you mean easy to screw up????

Just feel which line is hot when your coolant is at operating temprature and your ATF isn't......in other words, let it idle for 10-15 minutes. Whichever is hot, is the line coming from the radiator.

The upper line on the radiator is the return line.....so either follow that one back to the transmission and disconnect it there......OR unhook the lower at the cooler.

Just an update, it was the bottom line (into the radiator). Flushed 2 gallons through it. Awesome.

Good to know. If you change your transmission fluid at regular intervals, you'll never have to do that again. :)

The bottom line at the radiator, or the upper line on the radiator at the transmission..........just like I said!
