I have a 94 cutty 3100. And I noticed an oil leak dripping from the oil filter drainage chute. But the filter is tight and dry. Is there a sensor directly above the oil filter that could be the cause of this?

Its prolly just the gasket on the oil filter. Theres no sensor or anything there that Im aware of.

I believe ther is. I can see the connection from under the hood. I update this once I get it onto the hoist at work.

Jay you were half right. It does appear to just be the oil filter. But there something just sbove it but it looks ok. Filter tigh but still pissin. I guess its time for an oil change.

The sensor above it is the knock sesor with one black wire and the sending unit is to the right with 3 wires, but i am leaningmore towards a leaking oil filter. it could be defective

oil pressure sensor is adjacent to it, and it did leak on my old 3100.

Is that the one directly above the starter? Because if so, it leaking pretty good on my car.

Yeah it sits up there. I actually thought it was an oil pan gasket leak when mine went bad.
