Regal_GS_1989
1. turn the key to run, but dont start the car 2. pump the accelerator 3 times. 3. The light should start flashing, and then it will go out.

The light should start flashing, and then it will go out. That shoud be it.. Make sure the car is in the "on" position without actually starting the car (i.e. all accessory lights are one) Then make sure to go all the way down to the floor with the gas pedal three times.. it should blink like a couple seconds later. Addicted To Boost
I had to do it on an OBD2 Grand Am this last summer, and it was 5 pumps in park IIRC, and I know for sure I didn't use teh parking brake.
jeremy
word for word from the manual: Remember, after changing your engine oil, the system must be reset; with the ignition key in the RUN positio, but the engine off, fully push and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seonds. If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes two times, the system is reset. However if the light comes on and stays on for five seconds, it did not reset. You'll need to reset the system again. 5speedz34
Total noob. Just for future reference this is the way to reset it on all GM's other than Alero's, GA's, and Saturns. If the car has an info system with a "reset" button than you can reset it that way.
