Corey Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 I just installed my interior and license plate LED's over the weekend so I thought I would show them off. What do you think? There 5 LED Matrix and 9 LED 44mm Festoon from autolumination.com. Quote
Q-Ball Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 They dont seem too bright. One thing I dont like about LED's is, that you have to look at them straight on to be bright. Quote
Corey Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 They are for sure brighter than stock. At night you can see everything inside the car. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 i'm going to redo all my interior lights eventually as well. the LEDs look classy at night when you open the door Quote

Psych0matt Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 i have blue gel sleeve type things on all my lights, matches the color of the cluster and stuff. ive always liked it, even though it is a tad ricey Quote
Monkton Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 It's not ricey if it's done right. Quote
slick Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Are these wide or narrow angle LED's? Either way, I'd like to do the same sometime. I'm assuming these were pop-in, replacement style fixtures, that you didn't have to solder a group of led's and resistors together, correct? Quote

They're wide angle and yup you just pop the stock bulb out and pop the led in. Takes maybe 10 minutes to do everything. Quote
mra32 Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 If you want the light from the led's to get a little diffused, as opposed to having a bright and defined hotspot, you can sand the tip of it down. 100-200 grit seems right for this. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Stealing my LED tag light idea, huh? Quote
intern8tion9l Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 BCM's sig is friggin awesome Quote
