Lee
So it was on the "GOOD" side except for a missing nose emblem and a verticle crack through that piece. 185k for miles. Good leather interior. new (?)winterforce(?)...winter something...tires on older aftermarket 3 spoke wheels. Aftermarket slotted rotors. newer CAT. Tinted windows in new condition..no fade. They wanted $3k. I hemmed and hawed all last week. Decided to do it Sat. Went in Monday and it was sold. There is another 97 GTP in Red in town at a used dealer with 137k for miles. Good shape, older exhaust. Their price is at $4700 but would problably sell for $4000. Others in town weren't even worth mentioning. Well one I have to. 2002 GTP 57k for miles......over $12k for price.
Psych0matt
the 97 sounds like a decent price, but remember that they still have some bugs (being the first year). However, you'll save on insurance since the gtp's that year were still classified as SE's (IIRC)
digitaloutsider
So are '98's. Get a '98. Save yourself a lot of trouble, especially with the shitty wheel hub sensors in '97.
Dannymik
some of the '97's were factory freaks!
Andrew
However, you'll save on insurance since the gtp's that year were still classified as SE's (IIRC) No they are classified as GT's. the GTP was an option package on the GT in 97 and 98. and yes get a 98. should be in the $4-6k ballpark depending on condition, mileage, and options.
