97loudcut Posted April 19, 2007 Author Report Posted April 19, 2007 Update: Well, I paid of my credit card and I decided it is time to max it out again. I recently purchased another Magnaflow Hi Flow Catalytic Converter because my previous one is to small for my new exhuast setup. I picked up one with a 2.5" inlet & outlet. So here is the final plan for the exhuast, I should be starting on it sometime next week. -2.5" DP -2.5" Magnaflow Hi Flow Cat -2.5" piping back to a y-pipe -Dual 2" pipes -Magnaflow or Flowmaster mufflers -Round, single, 3" tips I will post progress with pics.
Dirty Rockstar Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Glad to hear you are going dual on it! I thought for a while you weren't doing it (I think the idea came around when you decided not to buy a dual system from someone on here.. I don't remember exactly)
97loudcut Posted April 19, 2007 Author Report Posted April 19, 2007 Yeah, well I think it will look good and hopefully perform slightly better with the bigger DP.
Dirty Rockstar Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Sweet. Looking forward to pics and progress.. Are you doing polished tips also? What about black chrome lookin tips?
Z34-5speed Posted April 19, 2007 Report Posted April 19, 2007 Go with the Magnaflows. MUCH better sound on a 3.1 IMO than the Flowmasters.
97loudcut Posted April 22, 2007 Author Report Posted April 22, 2007 Okay, exhuast is going to be put on hold for a couple more weeks. Ken (CrazyK) is coming by Wednesday night, and Thursday we are doing the 3400 top end swap on my motor. I will be replacing the intake, valve cover, throttle body, and egr gaskets. Also we will be replacing the t-stat as well as the fuel injector o-rings. I will post pictures and let you guys know how long it took and how it all went.
