97loudcut
Looks good. You should really consider a DD. You already got the SS intercooler.. it's going to be hard driving a 12 sec car everyday. Should have kept the Oldsmoturd. EDIT--- That intake really takes away from the "cleanness" and "simpleness" in the engine bay. It looks cheap.. tinfoil WTF!?!
terryk2003
won't be a 12 second car...so, i'm not too worried...should be a mid-low 13 second car when i'm done...and, that intake looks great when its all together and clean...thats why i got it!...i am considering a fenderwell intake in teh spring though...mainly for the louder supercharger whine! DiscoStudd
Naah, he doesn't need a daily driver. He just needs a beater to drive around when the car's under the knife. I don't know about you, but there's nothing I hate more than having to rush through a weekend project because I have to have the car put back together and running by Monday morning. :willynilly: So Terry, when's the intercooler going in? no1kicker
Just curoius why the EGR doesn't fit, is the hole too small?
99RegalGS
yes, with the coating on the headers the hole becomes too small. a simple hit with a grinder will fix it. Hope your header install finished ok Terry!!
terryk2003
yup...done now...had to grind the hole in the headers for the EGR...headers really dont fit worth a shit...but, oh well...they're installed now...too bad i now have a SES light...something do with with the front 02 sensor...i'll look into that more later...here are some pics i just took...i didnt take any pics today cause i was just trying to get it DONE!!... terryk2003
Noticeable diffrence? don't really know yet...i got the dreaded PACESETTER exhaust leak going on...i'm pretty sure its leaking @ the Y pipe...i gotta figure that out...also, i think they are hitting on something, cause from WOT i see a MAX of 1*KR, but when i let OFF, i see up to 3.5*...soo, something odd is happening... Marchi1
So where did you get them from? If it wasn't ZZp then you nee to take the crossover pipe and have them run an expander in the end that goes into the Y-pppe to make up some of the difference (there is a how they do it on theZZP site). Also a little bit of Copper RTV will help. Looks good, and gives me an idea of what I want to do soon, but I thought the Pacesetters had a different front crossover pipe connection? 5speedz34
You need to caption your pics, otherwise we don't know what we're looking at. Yeah that stupid foil, dryer ducting thing for the wizaird is shit. Seriously, for as much as you pay they should give you something better. That is the sole reason my buddy went to a 4" Mandrel Bent fenderwell intake. Also, why didn't you just delete the EGR? Emissions FTL. Wasn't looking at the ZZP website, was looking on Ebay and had a clamp front, and since you didn't say where you got them (and ZZP says out of stock right now) didn't know for sure. Looks like it is welding time....
