So my brother called me to come to his shop to install a new set of tires on the Lumina. They're Uniroyal Tiger Paw Freedom, 225/60-16 All-Seasons.

They were the cheapest ones he could get too. After all was said and done, the cost was $480.

Now that I have the new tires, I'm contemplating going back to Frisby Tire to get them to re-do the alignment thay I got done a few weeks ago. The alignment was done with the old tires, and was still pulling to the right after the 1st alignment. So my brother thought it would be best to wait to see if it was just the tires that are causing the pull, or if Frisby really did a shitty job. Well, the new tires are on, and I took it for a drive on the highway, and it's still pulling.

I'm not sure if it's worth the hassle though. I mean, It's not pulling by much, but still enough that I have to hold the wheel turned slightly to the left to keep the car straight. I should be able to let the wheel go, to see it track straight and true. It is a hell of alot better than it was before though, so maybe I'm just picking hairs... I dunno.

I HATE cars with bad alignments. With that said it could destroy your brand new tires. For the $50 you are going to spend its worth it IMO.

I bought them because they were the cheapest brand, price-wise. And they're all season tires, not snow tires. I didn't get snow tires because I figured it was too late, and not worth it to get them, yet since I'd still need to get new all-seasons in a couple of months anyway. I cant afford to spend $800 on 2 sets of tires, so I just got the all seasons, and will wait untill next winter for the snows.

I already had an alignment done. The car is handling way better than it did before. My bro said that for the amount that it's still pulling is really nothing to worry about, and not worth the hassle anyway. It's a 14 yr old car, and will never be perfect.

Oh, and an alignment costs an average of about $96 after taxes around here.

I have to agree I CANNOT STAND having a car that does not go in a straight line, no matter how minor the drift is.

What I would do is take it back to the place that aligned it before and tell them to check it again. Most places guarantee their work for anywhere between 30-90 days and a certain number of miles, sometimes longer than that. They will never know if you had new tires put on or not

I had my 90 back 3 times because they couldn't get it right... but after the third time it is smooth and straight and I couldn't be happier. It sucks it took 3 times to get it right, but its okay now.
