zx21
Been searching around, but havn't returned many results worth a look. My crusie control has been out for a bit now, what all should I be looking at to find the problem? 91 Buick R - 3.
Crazy K
usually a fault of broken vacuum lines. check for a busted check valve located below the master cylinder area, as well as the presence of the vaccuum ball hidden beneath the battery, visible from under the car, and a complete vac line to the vac ball. a good hint of a vac probelm is if the air vents is the car won't switch between floor and vent and defrost. Robby1870
Also, look at the wires for the cruise that run from the stalk to the column, Blue, gray and white, I belive. When I got the STE, those lines were cut, thus no cruise. Just a thought if checking vacuum lines does nothing.
96gp_Toronto
is the cruise control still vacuum type on 3100 engines? Mine has been out since I got it but my 3100 seems to have an electric box that controls the throttle.

Black90Euro
ok here's what mine did ... would not set, work at all. It was the brake switch sensor that's what disengages it when you apply the brakes in cruise ... dealer fixed mine was under warranty @ the time so I have no idea what one costs... Mark I had the same thing happen to my GP when I replaced my PMIII- the switch shouldn't be bad, all you have to do is move the gray switch under your dash toward your brake pedal. If that is your problem, just moving the switch should fix it.
