CNBZ34
Has anyone done a throttle body coolant bypass on the 3.4?? I'm drawing a blank as to how to do it since the TB is cast into the plenum. Which is also kicking my ass trying to clear the EGR passage that's completely clogged. Psych0matt
I cant help you on the 3.4 with this one, although I did it on my 2.8 cavalier, and it was just simply a piece of hose that went in place of the TB

I thought about doing this, but I have my doubts I would notice any differance at all. Jamie

I guess in a very cold climate it wouldnt be a good idea, but otherwise I was just kinda curious. it did seem to run a few degrees cooler, but a few was like 1 or 2, so hardly any difference to even be worth the 5 minutes it may take
5speedz34
I did it on the Cutlass when I owned it. The reason I did it is simply its easier to pull shit apart since those hoses and the clamps are a pita. You really can't do it on the 3.4 since coolant runs through that hose out the tb to the lim and then back into a heater hose. I wouldn't even mess with it. You would have to reroute alot of hose and piping just to get it to work right.
Nick1234
I did it on my 3.1 only because it was a bitch to get on otherwise. No difference that i am aware of. Still warmed up fast. Sorry i can't help more.
