matt86
Last week my car would hesitate at around 45 mph when i would give it some gas. The SES light would also come on occasionally when I would start it then would go off after about 5 minutes. Then last night, I was driving about 2 miles from my house when I stopped at a light at the car was running really rough. It ran like shit till I made it to the lot a couple hundred yards away. I parked it and it was still running like crap. I could smell that rotten egg smell too. I am planning on doing the plugs and wires before I go back to school. Any suggestions at what this might be? Mach 5
agree. For a new cat, I think the magnaflow is the best but the others are just as good. I run magnaflow. Do you here a rattle from underneath the car?
matt86
The smell only happened after it was running like crap. It doesn't normally smell
19Cutlass94
It doesnt normally smell, because its working the way its suppose to. A clogged/bad cat will make a car run like shit and it will smell like that.

matt86
Its in the shop right now. The brake line was rusted and broke when they were taking it out for a test drive. So its a good thing the car is there but they can't find the problem for some reason.
gp90se
Cat, but when you change it/remove it, change the O2 sensor so it doesn't happen again
94CutlassXtreme
Definetely a bad cat. Probably cooked the o2 as well. If you drove it alot while all this was happening, then changes the plugs too.

Euro
Turns out it was a bad coil. Problem solved bad coil causes a rotten egg smell?
matt86
No but it was causing the car to run like crap. The smell, I think, was from a rich mixture. It was a short-lived smell.
