Has anyone had a problem with there transmission on the 3.4l DOHC. i dropped the tranny pan and found metal pieces there. i put it all back together and the car still drives fine. i only have a problem when you give it gas and then i seems to slip.. another thing is if you are in park and rev the engine i hear metal grinding or metal pieces moviing.. its weird. can anyone point me in the right direction. Do not go buy what the manual says, because as anyone know that had dropped a pan, it is off by 2-3 quarts. Go out for a spin and get that transmission nice and hot. Check the level, I bet you don;t have enough fluid in it. I had to add another 2-3 quarts. Also try the LubeGaurd additive, it worked wonders for me. [/quote But that wouldnt cauae the metal grinding sounds. You said that when the pan was off there was metal in the pan right? i bet there is some in the tranny to. So i thinkk the tranny is fuked. If there is metal shavings in it STOP DRIVING IT!!!!! take it to a tranny shop and get there opinion on it il bet they wil say "if you here metal moving in there its fuked. Sorry for the bad news.
