slick
This is Rachel's 95 Regal. Anyways, where the PCV line runs underneath the bracket that go's over the throttle body and t's into the top of it, it leaks there causing her idle to be high by about 300 rpm. I picked up rubber gasket material and made a gasket for it already, but it's definately not a perfect fit, and still leaks a little. So.... is there a PN for this gasket or seal or whatever it may be? There is a picture below so you can kinda see what I'm thinking of. Thanks. 19Cutlass94
I think you might be looking at a j/y for that part. ( I assume your talking about the whole plastice line ) Because on mine, its just the plastice line, with a ribbed part that goes into the TB under that bracket. Theres no gasket ot anything. Ive never seen that sold in any parts store. Even looking on GMpartsdirect.com I dont see anything.
slick
Hmmm.... the ribs on hers must be worn down. In the second picture, there looks like there a ring around the bottom where it meets the metal, and hers is pretty worn down as well. But, I guess atleast I know what I am looking for. I may just take it apart and see if I can modify it better. I have tons of ABS plastic and rubber gasket material at my use, so I might look for some high temp plastic glue, and see if I can just make a bigger ring to seal it better. SigEpCutlass
I agree with Jay 100% from my experience. I don't have a clue what the PN is for that. I'm sure you can probably get a "new" one from the yard in good enough condition to fix the problem with the idle.
PCGUY112887
There has gotta be a P/N for that... mine is snapped in half and it's being held together via tape.
Crazy K
I've had problems with that too. i used rtv silcone to seal it up. for those who don't know the ribbed part is rubber and separtes from the plastic.
5speedz34
There are part numbers for everything. Just like I said on the other thread I would just go to the dealer and get the part number for it. PS-I thought she had the 3800?
94CutlassXtreme
I had the same problem, picked up 2 of them from the yard and it fixed the problem. Just make sure after you replace it to disconnect the battery for like 10 mins after. Otherwise, the engine will still idle a little high. Then drive it around to relarn the correct idle. I was thinking of taking some ABS plastic with some plastic weld stuff and making a new ring for hers. I would make a gasket for it also. Think it'll work?
