dohc v6 Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I have a 94 z with the upgraded 11.25 brakes up front. Will these work in my car. http://www.wbodystore.com/grandprix/w-body-store-stage-i-brake-upgrade-119-rotors-p-81.html Quote
Andrew Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 im gonna say no. since all the other kits for second gens dont fit first gens, i dont see this one being any different. Quote
dohc v6 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Report Posted January 10, 2007 I thought that the upgrades to go to a 11.25 come from the 96 and 97 w-bodys. It looks like it is a direct fit for the upgraded brakes meaning the 11.25 and I bet it would fit any thing becuase it says it converts it from 10.9 to 11.9. Can any body back there post. Quote

No, the 11.25" upgrade comes from 1.5-gen W-bodies (96-99 Monte, 96-01 Lumina) and the 11.9" upgrade comes from 2nd gen. They built 1.5-gen and 2nd gen at the same time so that's why model years coincide, but they are very different. 2 huge reasons is the rotor offset is very different (2nd gen have deeper hats) and rotor thickness is also a problem, 1" for gen 1 and 1.5, 1.25" for gen 2. 5speedz34 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Like I've said before why don't you do some research before you make mindless posts over here. 1997 - Current Grand Prix1997 - 2004 Regal 2000 - Current Monte Carlo 2000 - Current Impala The upgrade to 11.25 started in mid year 95. All mid-95+'s have the upgrade. There is discussion of this on the mainpage. Quote
