cah77388
So my inspection sticker is set to expire this month, and I planned I doing it this week, but when I started my car today, my check engine light came on....went to Autozone, and got a couple of codes...just seein if what I should do is the right thing...Just a little history about the car....its a 96 Cutlass with the 3.1, it has 215,000 miles on it, and the only things that have been changed include the alternator, P/S pump, A/C compressor, spark plugs and wires and the battery....everything else has not been changed since it rolled off the assembly line..... 1. P0102, MAF circuit low input.... Time to change the MAF sensor?.....or is there anything I should do to make sure its a bad MAF? 2. P0301, Cylinder 1 misfire detected.... Maybe due to the low circuit input with the MAF....?
z34duck
I have alway been told to start with the low codes first and most of the time it will fix the other ones lol
digitaloutsider
Low circuit input generally means whatever it is has failed. In this case, the MAF sensor. As for the misfire code, check your plugs and wires. I doubt it has anything to do with the MAF sensor.
