Black X-laces

How rare are the black x-lace rims on Grand Prixs? I was out at my cabin this weekend and near where my cabins at there was a white 93ish GP with black x-laces sittin in the weeds at a house . I stopped and asked about it. The guy said he would sell the car for $200, and he has no title. The car is pretty bad shape, but 3 out of the 4 rims are in great shape. Unfortunatly all the paint is rusted off one of the rims otherwise i would have bought it right then.

Why dont you try to contribute something instead of the dumbass comments.

Back on topic, I have never seen black x-laces on a GP around here. Its always the gold x-laces that I see. I wonder if someone that had the car before did this.

Didn't GM used to paint wheels body color?? I've seena few Bonneville's around here with wheels painted body color. IMO it looks like shit (the Bonneville')..but yeah the black x-lace with the polished lip is always a nice touch

IDK about other models, but on the early first gen GP's (88-90) some of them had body colored wheels and IMO the white 88-90 GP's looked kickass! But yea black x-laces are cool.

to my knowledge no GP's came with black crosslaces. they were probably painted earlier....

X-laces only came in white, red and blue.

I've never seen them in red... anyone have a pic?

They also came in gold and silver...

x2 on red, white, blue, gold and silver.

They were never painted black from the factory.

red and blue (and white?) was a RPE edition only thing though, if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, crosslaces were painted red, white, and blue on the RPE's.

well, the RPE crosslaces werent ALL red/white/blue. just the sides of the spokes were.

Yes, I know that. They were silver on the very outer side of the spokes with the body color (red, white, or blue) on the inside edges of the spokes.

Thanks for postin AWeb! I knew someone on here had a white gp with the black x-laces. Ill post pics up tomorrow, the car looks likes awebs, but in much worse condition.

I couldnt use it for a daily driver. The guy has no title. The story about why there is no title is pretty confusing and bizzare. From what i could see the body of the car wasnt to bad, it def had a j/y engine in it, it said 90 Olds in marker on the engine block.

There are alot of pos w-bodies out by my cabin, its complete hicksville out there. You guys would cry if you saw some of these cars.

Here are the pics of the car and a close up of the rim. Whoever painted the rims did a good job. I figured they were stock cuz there were no other mods on the car. Didnt they make black x-lace rims on bonnevilles?
