Marchi1
Okay I have eclipsed the piint now where i have sold enough of the parts off the old car to buy parts for the new car. I am looking at a suspension drop to firm it up and make it corner a little better. What I am planning on is new KYb's, Eibach Springs, the pogo washers, and possibly new upper mounts so it is an in and out job. I will also be adding the GMPP sway bar kit, with a rear strut tower bar as well, and that is about everything I want to do suspension wise. Which KYBs are suggested, and are Eibachs the best (that is all I have ever used on any of my vehicles from a Cavalier to the fullsized A-bodies). Any other suggestions? digitaloutsider
Some people swear by the Monte Carlo radiator braces.
99RegalGS
When you are referring to the sway bar kit, do you mean this?? (part # pk12456148 )

Euro
that sounds like a good setup.. are you going with a front stb too?
Marchi1
Front and rear STB using the brackets from Don Rome in the GP forums as well so I don't have to drill the Strut towers. Anyway any suggestions on GR-2s or AGXs? Any experience with the Eibachs, or a suggestion for another brand? And I have heard there may be some vibrations in the driveline when I drop the car? 99RegalGS
That sucks that they only put the front STB on there from the factory for a couple years. I would suggest the AGX's because I believe that they'll help reduce the pogo effect even more. Can't help you with the drive line vibrations though. I haven't researched too much about lowering my car, yet.
97loudcut
I don't know, alot of people run the GR-2's and that is going to be what I am running. I would go with them. BTW it is nice to see someone going for a good handling ride first instead of mad sick POWA. In the end, which is going to benifit your DD needs, suspension or power? Marchi1
In the end, which is going to benifit your DD needs, suspension or power? Neither, ideally I should just leave it alone and drive it, but I am my fathers son and was brought up under the axiom "Friends don't let friends drive stockers" Besides it would be fun to show some of the cavalier guys what a car that weighs a half ton more then theirs can do with a few mods. intern8tion9l
friends def don't let friends drive stock. i'd say gr2 struts, but i don't have any experience with the others
Andrew
Many people think the Eibach's are too harsh, even with the pogo eliminators. but you say you've ran them before so if you've been satisfied with them in the past, why change now? for a less harsh ride than eibach's but still better handling you could try these http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=454 Get the pogo eliminators no matter what springs you get. I like the AGX's since they are adjustable from close to stock to very firm. GR-2's are slightly firmer than stock.
Marchi1
Well I ordered the GMPP kit, with an additional strut tower brace to put on the rear ($190 and change for everything including a can of OEM silver) should be here mid next week. I looked at the Monte Carlo/Impala radiator supports, those personally, kinda ugly. I am going to look into fabbing my own up out of a different tube stock material so they are better looking.... Should have everythiing ready for install in a couple of weeks (painting the stb to match the car) and I need to order the ends from Don Rome. hope this helps quelch some of the sway in my ride.... Anyone got a garage for the install?
digitaloutsider
I've got one available, but you're kinda far away
