one_fast_prix
i recently relocated my coils/icm in my n/a 3.1 and now the car cranks but won't start. the only time it acts like it wants to is after letting it set for 20-30 minutes. then as soon as you turn the key it will start to fire up and that's it for another 20-30 minutes. the car also started no problem before i relocated the coils. here's the details: all coils and plugs are connected and in the correct order all wire extensions are correct fuel pressure is at 47 with pump running and holds at 42 when i shut the pump off i took out a front plug and i'm getting spark ecm and f/p fuse were good f/p relay good icm bracket grounded properly since i have pressure at the rail is there a way somethings preventing my injectors from opening maybe? injectors only have about 2000 miles on them i 'd say. i'm at a loss at the moment. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. one_fast_prix
i've made yet another observation. i said if i let it set awhile it initialy acts like it wants to start. well then the spark is very strong and had a pretty good sized arch. and then watched the plug and spark after trying to start it again the spark is extremely weak and intermittent it seems. dcjredline
I think its pretty obvious that you missed SOMETHING with the coil relocation.
one_fast_prix
it turns out it was the damn wire that connects to the batt. for the pump. what i don't get is why it still wouldn't fire up when i had the the pump on continously. must be some kind of safety or something? took it out for a test drive and it's still doing the same thing as before. sort of the same syptoms as before i unplugged the egr, but now it's back. it has like a bucking/lunging/hesitation type thing but at only throttle positions and will do it until you press harder on the accelerator or ease it up and stalls occasionaly but not often. i'm going to replace the icm and coils with brand new equip. and new plugs and wires. if it continues which it prob. will, it's got to be some kind of sensor or something. any ideas??? Supreme Cutlass
Get your TPS checked, and have you replaced all the filters?
