Spectrum Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 How do I go about removing the door panel on a 1.5 gen Lumina? I know the general idea, remove all the screws and then pop it out of place. However, where are the screws and how many will I be removing? This is on the passenger door, and I have power locks and windows. Quote
AWeb80 Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I wasn't sure when i did my GP doors.....just get a panel clip puller thing....that helps....then just search for screws and I had a few torx bits too. Quote
Spectrum Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Posted December 29, 2006 Okay, got all screws out. I can't get the top clips near the window to let go of my damn door panel. Any suggestions? Quote
DiscoStudd Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 There are no clips near the window. The entire top of the panel hooks into the window channel, so you'll need to lift straight up on the panel to unhook it... Quote

CSI_MuNkY Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 not familiar with the lumis, but the GPs have a bolt nicely hidden in the bottom of the arm rest. Q-ball and I sat in the wreckers for half an hour cursing a door panel cause it wouldn't come off, then we found that bolt. Jamie Quote
Spectrum Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 Is there a screw in the arm rest? I read that there is in a 95+ Monte Carlo door panel removal guide but I don't see one and don't know how to remove the arm rest? Quote
Spectrum Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 W00t! Door panel came off! I feel like a n00b, but hey, I did it without breaking anything. Now to move on to bigger things... Quote
