DEMonte1997 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 On cold starts, my car makes a groaning sound. It seems to be coming more from the driver side wheelwell (bellhousing) so I'm guessing trans. If you stick your head near the wheel, it almost sounds like a buzzing. It's been doing this for the entire time I've owned the car - 2.5 years. It makes this sound on a cold start anytime the outside temps are below 60*. Once the car has warmed up for a few minutes, the sound goes away. I sometimes hear it again around 2,000rpms when I'm accelerating. Trans pump? TC? I'm just trying to figure out the damage. Wish it wasn't the trans, but I'm pretty sure that's what it causing the sound. TIA. Quote
