jeremy
How can I get off the the round gorilla wheel lock shown in the pics below without having the key?
88Regal Limited
umm, looks like some of the nut is sticking out past the round thing, could you use a socket to get the lugs off and then work from there?
Redwingvksm
As a mechanic I have a socket that can remove ANY wheel lock - even the one shown - hell, even hub-cap locks, lol!
97loudcut
We have about every kind of wheel lock removing socket at work. To bad it couldnt make it up here. The more I look at that... it looks like my key...

Redwingvksm
I got mine from MAC tools - he comes to my shop once a week - I think I paid about $150 for the whole set...

Redwingvksm
Rember - I'm a mechanic and I make my living with my tools. I don't buy cheap shit that'll break the 2nd or 3rd time I use it. REAL tools are NOT cheap. Ever see a chef using the K-Mart special pots n' pans at their resturant...? CSI_MuNkY
Well... I can tell you from Q-balls experience... a drill is NOT the answer for a stubborn lug nut You might be able to get a socket like that at NAPA, or maybe a performance shop? Robby1870
If you want to ruin a socket or two (make sure they are craftsman so you get new ones free) just pound one on with a hammer. That's what I did on my STE. It came with locking lugs, but no socket to remove them.

EXACTLY what i was going to suggest...i've done it before...just find a socket that it close to the size, and pound it on there!...maybe use a craftsman, so you can take it back after you break it!... 19Cutlass94
Jeremy, go to NAPA, they have a shitload of sockets for this purpose. And they are cheap and lifetime warranty.

ns87
I agree with the craftsman socket. On a side note I hate how those center caps lose the red paint. Its as though they were cleared and waxed before the red was even applied
turbo90gp
IF your careful. and have an air hammer with a chisle bit, u can go that route....

gp90se
I got a set of cheapo lugnut removers off ebay for $20, I've used it about 2 dozen times with a 3lb sledge and a breaker bar. Works pretty well, but it is going to need to be replaced. Not a bad tool to keep around just in case.
5speedz34
Those look like the "gorilla" brand locking lugnuts. They sell them at murrays I know for sure.

89GP_SE
they actually look alot like the same ones that are used on mercury sables and ford taurus. you could just go to the dealership and have them break them off for you. Wait what am I saying..... dont go to the robbing jerks of the dealerships!!! Good luck!
joey b
I once had a wheel that the lug splines would not anchor to the hub. With a huge ass pipe I took all the others off and pried until the lug broke.
