Took me 6 months to get this thing on.

FINALLY got my 3.5" pulley on last night. Man, I forgot how much of a pain the factory pulley is to break loose. Grrrrrrr! lol Turns out my belt is too long also. Not sure why really, unless the belt was too long to begin with. Kinda sucks though because the belt is slipping at WOT. :( Oh well, time to buy a new belt.

Pics...

Half way there...

Pulley size difference.

All back together.

Whoops; belt's too long. (notice marks on tensioner)

Proof to how hard it is to get the factory pulley off.

I got my first pulley out with a 3 jaw puller and it wasn't hard. I Installed the 3.25" WITHOUT any tools, I put it on the stove until it was smoking hot and it slipped right in by hand. And yes, the paint was gone  . Stupid...

Even with the slipping belt I can feel the difference. Mainly lowend, because the belt slips more at high rpm. I'm still getting a steady 9+ psi out of it though. lol

I did go to Napa yesterday, right before they closed, and asked if they had any slightly shorter belts. Well they only had a 1" shorter belt, which I tried right at the store, and yeah, wayyy too short. I should have just got the stock belt, but by this point it was already 10 after and I didn't want to keep the guy there. So I just put the original belt back on for now.

I got this pulley used from John99GTP for cheap. But seeing that it took so long for me to get a puller it may been a better idea for down the road. I got the 3.5 because I don't know how long it would take me to do more supporting mods.

And WOW! I wish I could say I can't put a smaller pulley on my car. lol

Yay for the new belt! Saw a peak of 13psi tonight. :D

thats a lil extreme...you may wanna make some exhaust work your next mod...

You're boost stacking pretty bad. The highest I ever see is 11. Sounds like an intake and DP/U-bend delete is in order!

yeah...thats what i was getting @...i'm pulling about 10PSI @ WOT...it goes a lil higher once in a while, but i usually get KR when the boost goes over 10...IIRC, john is only getting like 8-10psi with his 3.25 pulley...

yea, until i hit 5200rpm, then it starts climbing till it shifts around 13-14psi

Sean, what belt did you get? What size?

I noticed that some auto stores actually have the smaller then stock size listed as the belt to use, including autozone and advance, when I went in, I asked for a certain size, and he looked it up and he said it was the stock size.....go figure.

about time you get that bitch on there, lol!

A better intake would make it worse!!!!

John, I got the stock size belt from Napa. Expensive sucker too!! I don't know the actual length though.
