GTPWarrior88
Hey guys...If my friend and I are going to replace the o ring on the oil pump drive, what else should we replace while we are down there? We have replaced the intake gaskets and valve cover gaskets. And how far is it from the intake gaskets to the head gasket..like what is in between? Thanks! GTPWarrior88
I have a 1995 Pontaic Grand Prix GTP...nothing else is wrong that I know of besides the oil pump drive oring. I have the 3.4 DOHC.
stiv2k
for that engine you will have to remove the heads to get to the O-ring...good luck!
19Cutlass94
Ummm the 3.4DOHC doesnt have valve covers..... Basically, remove the plenum, remove the timing belt, take out the cams and the cam carrier, then take off the head to get to it. Once youve got there, goto GM and get this o-ring ( its like a buck ) and my friend put a shitload of RTV silicone on there to help it not leak again because of this... something else to consider doing when your putting it back together.
