nriesen Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 My Anti-lock light is on. I have left the hood vent off of my car for about 2 months now, and it has been raining here for about 5 days. I am wondering if that has any thing to do with it. If not.....is there any way to diagnose abs problems, or should i just pull the relay/ fuse, or whatever there is for abs, and call it a day? crc Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 Well, if you are not experiencing any general braking problems than consider yourself lucky. ABS is a bitch to diagnose without a descent, expensive scanner tool. Is your brake warning light on also? Quote
nriesen Posted October 5, 2002 Author Report Posted October 5, 2002 nope, just the light nxt to the ses light. There are no brake problems to speak of other than the fact that the breaks generaly suck cince it is a 92. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 Check all the speed sensors at the wheels. Trace the wires to make sure none of them are ripped apart. I had the same problem. Quote
no1kicker Posted October 5, 2002 Report Posted October 5, 2002 Would something like that cause the abs light to flash? Quote
crc Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 yep.. there are some 60+ ABS codes alone on Powermaster III. Not all of them are warnings though. I know the ABS controller kicks out a code if any sensor connection is open. Quote
GrandPrix34 Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 the first time i saw my ABS light on was seconds before the car died completely...turned out to be the alternator in the middle of fucking traffic!! I couldnt steer and had super up-the-ass brakes and the fucking piece of shit grandma carrying van in front of me was going so slow i was ready to rear end the bitch and i aint talking about the van!! F*ck you alternator!!!!!! Quote
