IS THIS AGAINST THE LAW

Ok so I am doing my interior over and I have new racing setas but I dont want to use the old belts with the new seas. I want to use the new belts I got, the ones that go over you. Now if I take out the old belts completly is this against the law or my insurance, its just the old belts look nasty and are dry and cracked and will look terriable, but then again I dont want my insurace to be lost and a ticket.

shouldnt be a problem... worst case i figure would be you would have to get the new belts certified or something after you installed them... you talking about a 5 point harness or something like that

They might laugh hysterically at you putting 5-point harnesses in a W-Body, but I doubt it's illegal. I seem to remember someone doing it before.. not sure who.

No they are 3 point harnesses. they are made by corbeau so they are already certified. I figured if they do say something I can always just put them in right away. I just dont want the nasty ass looking stock ones in my new interiror.
