Miko K Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 It was dark outside, but under sunlight it really looks deep. If someone wants any custom paint, let me know. Quote

Andrew Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Hey that pretty damn cool. I would mind having something like that done. Well not a flame job but some kind art on it. Just as a baseline estimate, how much would you charge to do that flame job? Quote
jeremy Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 that looks like great quality work Quote
Miko K Posted December 10, 2006 Author Report Posted December 10, 2006 Hey that pretty damn cool. I would mind having something like that done. Well not a flame job but some kind art on it. Just as a baseline estimate, how much would you charge to do that flame job? I don't do the job myself- my buddy works at a local hot rod shop called Extreme Hot Rod & Custom. He is the one that painted the black mitsubishi eclipse for the "Make a wish" foundation and did all the body work on it. Something like this would be $75-100(depending on the colors-green and blue flames use different paint) and that is "under the table work" and it doesn't include clear coat. You know how much the shop will charge... Otherwise, he did my cousin's BMW, just to practice and it came out allright (sorry for the dark pic). Quote
nebojsa_o Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 You don't have to paint it to achieve the flames on a L67 Sorry I had to. The work looks very well done, although I'm not a big fan of flames on anything, but the work looks awesome. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Hey, at least it's accurate Quote
Monkton Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Damn, put a stock spoiler on that Eclipse and it woulb be one sexy 2nd gen... Quote
Miko K Posted December 11, 2006 Author Report Posted December 11, 2006 Damn, put a stock spoiler on that Eclipse and it woulb be one sexy 2nd gen... That was the cancer-survivor-kid's dream to have it just like that, so that's what they had to work with. The spoiler is 1 of 3 available in US and it's white fiberglass cloth(white carbon fiber) and costs big bucks... Not my cup of tea. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 If the kid went through all that, let him have what he wants! Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Wow that looks amazing!! Normally I HATE flames on anything, but those look so real who WOULDN'T like them??? Quote
Andrew Posted December 11, 2006 Report Posted December 11, 2006 Do you think he could do a lightning storm? Quote
Miko K Posted December 12, 2006 Author Report Posted December 12, 2006 I don't see why not, check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custom-Paint-For-Harley-Davidson-True-Fire_W0QQitemZ260061893573QQihZ016QQcategoryZ38664QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I asked him about doing my hood on the GTP he said if some of you guys want airbrush work it would be $400 for the whole hood, whatever you want on it+shipping. I think I'm going to have him draw my engine on the hood, like there is no hood on the car Quote
97loudcut Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Dude, that would be retarded Quote
Miko K Posted December 12, 2006 Author Report Posted December 12, 2006 OK, I'll go with this or this Quote
