GPdriver1986
on my 91 Grand Prix there are two oil leaks. Heres a picture of where they are located. I know that the rocker cover gasket is broken because its leaking oil there. but at the back I don't know. On my engine there is an oil stain on the intake manifold in that area. Can anyone help me? Guest Anonymous
I would say both leaks are coming from the valve cover gaskets.

Robby1870
Isnt the oil sender on that side where its circled on the back? I think it is, could be that, and where EXACTLY is the oil pump drive that O-ring leaks like sob. Robby

I think it is, could be that, and where EXACTLY is the oil pump drive that O-ring leaks like sob. Well, I know on my 2.8L, the DISTRUBOR O-RING leaked but that was on the driver side under the throttle body like the oil-pump o-ring on the DOHC. GPdriver1986, on the backside leak, is it deep down or right on the topside of the motor? If topside, I'd agree with the comments that the valve cover gaskets are needing replacement. Keep a tab on it, and if you could get / host closer pics, that will help out as well. - RedFox340

GPdriver1986
Yes I think both rocker cover gaskets are leaking but it might have been fixed and the person that fixed it didn't wash the engine so the oil residue was left there. I will shampoo the engine and see what happens.

LuminaPerformance
Dont know if somebody answered this already, but i know i had two leaks on my Lumina. One was coming from the oil pump drive seal and the other was the intake. the earlier 3.1s have that problem of leaking. matter of fact the dealer i work at has a newer supreme in for the intake leak.
