Andrew Posted January 12, 2007 Report Share Posted January 12, 2007 ok here's an idea ive been pondering for a while. make a false floor with plywood(cover it of course with factory looking cloth) and mount the amps below the floor on hanging shelves in the spare tire area and have plexi windows to view the amps. the only disadvantage i can see is i might have to remove the spare tire, which really doesnt bother me too much since i usually to dont drive too far. do you guys think there would be cooling issues? here's a quick pic i made in paint to give a better idea. slick Posted January 12, 2007 Report Share Posted January 12, 2007 You can use computer fans if anything to help cool. One to push air into the shelf and one to pull out. Be sure to vent it to help with airflow. BTW, computer fans run on 12 volts. Just use the remote turn on lead for power, negative for ground if you have to. They require minimal current to run.
