my mom has a 2001 Impala (hoping its a wbody) shes got the 3.4 engine what size are the bolts for the transmission pan, i have the filter and the fluid ready to go for tomorrow but we forgot to find out this picece of info :roll: please get back to me it would save us the hassle of having to climb under out again lookin for the right socket

yes, its a w-body, a 2nd gen. also, how is crawling out from underneath the car that big of a hassle?

Just grab a bunch of different sizes and take with you so you don't have to make the trip all the way back to the toolbox.

 

Phew! I'm tired from all this typing, can't reach mouse, Augh, too far away!!!! :lol: :lol:

:lol: well it is for my dad he has trouble getting under the car i will be at work or id do it myself i just thought if i had the proper bolt size (sae or metric) he culd just grab the right socket out of the toolbox and be good to go i usually do all the maitenince on the 3 cars in the family :wink: but i hate working mornings and im too tired to do a tranny fluid change aftewards :(

Just had to screw with you. I know it's metric it's either a 10mm or 12mm. I'm doing mine this afternoon so I can tell you for sure tonight.
