Crimson Fury Z
while investigating the wiring under my under dash panel where the trunk button is, i discovered why i smelled hot wire(while they were on) and had intermittent(spell) usage of the fog lights. the fused supply(power)line ran into a hot wire from a harness that had been spliced into. seen where it got hot and burned through the 3 way splice thing. thats just another of a few wiring hack jobs i've fixed on this. i'm running new wire, the right way! i don't really want to catch the under dash area on fire, again! ns87
Granted I'm not good at anything with cars, but I've never had more problems than trying to install fog lights on a W. It took me months to get it right....so I hear you. Glad you figured it out!
19Cutlass94
From installing all my audio components, Ive actually learned alot about electrical and now I find it very easy. But either way, glad you got it figured out.
Crimson Fury Z
i found out why they had it wired to that wire. so the fogs would cut out after i turn the car off if i left them on. they would also work in the on position, too. i ran new power wire to the aux, the others are wired correctly. i'll scan the 3-way box, yikes!
