dcjredline
Anyone have the wiring diagram for the push button heater controls? I have dash lights but no heater lights. Tried to swap in a "working" one from ebay and it doesnt light either. I have checked all fuses in the glovebox and under the hood. I am thinking I have maybe a wiring prob or a fuse I dont know about. NONE of the Power window switches are lit either (0-4) Hope someone can shed a little light on this to make the troubleshooting a little easier. Thanks
White93z34
common problem. only real way to fix the hvac controls is a. to have experience soldering and the ability to tear apart the HVAC unit to de-solder and replace all the little lights. radio shack sells them for like 1.99 each or so. and i think there are roughly 10 little lights in the unit. i've often thought about taking my several spare units and rebulbing them and selling them, but never got around to it. the power window and lock switches are easy to replace, well sorta. to do the door lock lights, just pull off the trim around the handle, and the lock button/light assembly just pops out, and the light bulb can be replaced from there. the door pannels, to do it right you gotta pull the door pannel and reach up and get it from underneith. you can get a small screwdriver and pop the bezel off, but you run a large chance of busting the bezel in the process. dcjredline
Thanks for the reply White but do you think BOTH HVAC units I tried could BOTH have EVERY light blown? NONE of the lights on either one light up! I thought that was kinda weird. I have already had it apart to see what I could see and I was hoping the other one would work!! Darn it. Guess I will get the meter out and test the little bulb connections to see if they have power!! Again thanks
White93z34
i have at least 2 HVAC units with every light bulb blown out myself, so i could totally believe that its a strange concidence.
