fuel pump replacement

so looks like the 92 convertible's pump crapped out while I was trying to run it just now.

I could get a walbro 225 pump or an acdelco pump.

so I ask, which should I choose? Longest pump life, cost, and warrenty wise?

I have no plans except tpo run my unmodded 3.1 off of it.

links for good deals?

if you're just going to keep it stock, no need for the Walbro. Just get the standard replacement. I put a Master brand one in a few months ago. It was like $50 at Advance. I have no idea how much the Delco one is.

Personally, I hate Bosch.

There is a write up on the TGPforum.

Ken, you can't beat the AC/Delco. After all, it's what the General put in at the factory!

I've done 3 fuel pumps in W's. I was just trying to decide where to go or what the best deal is.

lifetime warrenty on the bosch should do it for me. after all... it will probably quit in 10 years and I do not plan to sell the car. if I have to kill it I'm keeping the pump... and most of the rest of the car given the choice. :P

p.s. I would've though this would be outside of powertrain. :shrugs:

Just be sure to replace the sock, pulsator, and the fuel filter. Most pump warranties require the fuel filter to be replaced. AC Delco does.
