joey b
what causes this? Does it mean that the tires are pointing away or toward one another?
jeremy
away from each other....bad camber...normally found when people lower a car without getting an alignment
R Dubya
poor alignment, camber and toe angle are usually the culprits, but can also be attributed to bad ball joints, bad tie rods, and bad struts. Bad struts are usually clued by eneven wear on the center portion of the tire. What kind of car are we talking about?

joey b
Need's an alignment. thanks, ass... I recently replace 2 balljoints, 4 tierods, and 2 wheel bearings on a '00 Taurass. Not platform specific to tire wear, so I posted it up here. Alligning the toe myself. Camber will be a bit out, but it will save the guy 65 bucks. GOT2B GM
I would say you have too much negative camber. Try loosening the strut tower bolts and pushing the top of the strut away from the center of the car and then retightening.

Thanks for being a dick....instead of doing the "shadetree" mechanic way, why not take it and spend the $50 it costs and get it done right. joey b
I have 50 bucks. It's not my money. The tires are not actually worn persay. They are warmer on the inside, telling me that there is more friction and would wear it quicker. Thank you, Jeremy, for the answer that I needed. But tony, the next time that I need the answer to an obvious question I will shoot you a PM. Thanks anyway.

Honestly, I read the thread really quick and didn't see you where you trying to find the cause, not what to fix it. So chill out.
