adam_murphy Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 I cant remember if someone wanted to see white letter tires on a GP so i took some tonight after i washed the car. They turned out ok i think. Quote
JakeMetz63 Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 I would take your beater in a heart beat. Quote
adam_murphy Posted November 26, 2006 Author Report Posted November 26, 2006 well it does need some fixing, needs tire rods, new strut mounts, probably new struts too, bumper (which im in the process of getting painted) new windshield, and that door. the rear 1/4 on the passenger side is wrinkled a little from a deer running into the car, so says the previous owner.. this is what 1500 dollars and a good buddy get you Quote
runt Posted November 26, 2006 Report Posted November 26, 2006 Damn. At first I was gonna say "Holy crap thats a clean ass beater", but thats until I saw the damage. But still, thats a kick ass beater car! As much as I think the white walls are 1984 revisited, they don't look too bad on there. Must be the white car b/c I saw them on another white car on this site and they looked pretty good. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 fix the bumper. The car deserves that much. Quote
Psych0matt Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I'd drive it. JY bumper and maybe a door I really like white letters on white cars Quote
Euro Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 that looks good. and a nice beater at that lol Quote
jeremy Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I used to have white lettered firehawks on my old '89 GP LE....but that was way back in the 90s ...those don't look that bad, but I can't get over the NASCAR branding on them Quote
Andrew Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 but I can't get over the NASCAR branding on them X2. that the first thing i noticed. not bad Quote
Donutboy97 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 looks good, but I may be a little bias Quote
Z34-5speed Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 I really like the way they look. Ductape FTMFW!!!! :willynilly: Quote
Euro Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 but I can't get over the NASCAR branding on them X2. that the first thing i noticed. not bad well....that was WHY they made these tires Quote
jeremy Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 but I can't get over the NASCAR branding on them X2. that the first thing i noticed. not bad well....that was WHY they made these tires white letter tires were around long before NASCAR became insanely popular... Quote
Euro Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 no shit....but THOSE tires were made to look like the nascar ones..hence the NASCAR on them Quote
White93z34 Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 no shit....but THOSE tires were made to look like the nascar ones..hence the NASCAR on them NASCAR tires do not say NASCAR on them. i like them myself, but the NASCAR branding kills them for me. Quote
MonteCarloChick Posted January 13, 2007 Report Posted January 13, 2007 Make your own white letters.. that's what I did.. Quote
97loudcut Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 Nothing says "Redneck" like the word "NASCAR" on your white lettered tires. Quote
Psych0matt Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I like white lettered tires on black or white cars, but I do agree with Matt on the Redneck qualities of having "NASSSSSSCARRRRR" on the tires Quote
jtmarten Posted January 15, 2007 Report Posted January 15, 2007 I was looking for a set of those but couldn't find any, and no build date with Goodyear having the strike going on at the time. From the searching I did, they're the only white letter tires I found in a 225/60x16. Firestone, Cooper, and BFG have them, but not in the 16's. They do look realy nice on there! Quote
3WH12-96 Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 from the condition of the car and the whites seems Adam is the new Dale Earnhardt j/k looks good and agreed its cause cause the car is white Quote
