sclary18
:burnout:ok so i stretched the truth on the title a bit... I was going around a turn and my passenger side muffler came disconnected... Sooooooooooooooooooo... I busted out a grinder and fixed the problem.. Now I have NO MUFFLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly:
Monkton
3.1s sound good with a set of decent mufflers... Or worn out factory mufflers... The Whale has a nice deep rumble about her... She'll set off car alarms but she is far from loud. People that don't know think she has a V8. Hell my worn out 2.3 engine has nice deep rumble. If I really get on the gas I can be heard easily 1/4 mile down the road haha I would go with Flowmaster 40's.
Mach 5
Thats friggin awesome! I personally love the sound the 3.1 makes with rotted muffs or none at all. Mine are rotted out right now and I love the sound it makes when I peg the throttle. It makes it sound like a V8 at idle.
19Cutlass94
When I hacked my muffler off, I ran it and it didnt really sound any different then I put the Dynomax on....
Mach 5
Yeah right. Same here. I ran my car with a downpipe while I was installing a new cat. No difference, well maybe a little.

THe_DeTAiL3R
When the Y pipe disconnected on my old car (88 GP 2.8) it sounded like ASS. I did love the sound of the rotted rusty mufflers though.
Addicted To Boost
I still have the original mufflers on my TGP with a few small holes in them, not rustu though- but I think it sounds good. just the, "damn your car is clean as hell" I get that too. Almost every day I drive the TGP someone compliments me about it.

mra32
i got a muffler from summit for $40 and it sounds great. Its the welded chamber muffler. its the same size as the stock muffler too. I had to replace my stock muffler when it fell off on my way home from school. It kinda sounded like an explosion and I thought i had ran something over, but i figured out what it was in 2 seconds when i stepped on the gas again. I reattached it for a quick fix with a tomato can and hose clamps, since i had to deliver pizzas later that night. I had to drive around without a muffler for a few hours and it sounded so bad. Revving sounded amazing though.
