97loudcut Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 after the winter time, I am going to install everything at once. So far this is all I have accumilated, and I got them for a steal cause Josh is a good guy! Quote
blkinternational Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 nice for the rear are u goin with the FFP's Quote
97loudcut Posted November 14, 2006 Author Report Posted November 14, 2006 Yes, FFP's and KYB's. Then I am looking at another like $300 to get all of it installed. Is that a fair price? Quote
blkinternational Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 hell yeah that sounds fair to me u should just instal urself Quote
Nick1234 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 ao ffp in back then kyb up front. I thought the ffp came as one whole unit that you bolt on and you are done. Quote
TurboSedan Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 awesome! glad you are happy with them. i can't wait to see pics of them installed Quote
jeremy Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I have eibach sportlines on the Spyder...definitely a very nice spring Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Save yourself the $300, and install everything yourself! It can be done with simple tools ( except the springs ) But just have someone help you out with that. All you need is a spring compressor and the strut retaining nut tool. Both can be rented! BTW, thats a great place to start is with springs! I still dont have anything yet... Quote
slick Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 You should powdercoat them when you get your wheels done. Quote
intern8tion9l Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 its about friggin time! can't wait to see it. and x2 on doing it yourself. its both cheap and educational. but then again i am someone who likes to say i've done everything to my car on my own(with friends' help sometimes of course) Quote
TurboSedan Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I have eibach sportlines on the Spyder...definitely a very nice spring unfortunately that's not the case with all cars. the Eibach springs on my brother's Shelby Lancer are fucked up. they are a "progressive rate" lowering spring. they did lower the car and it does ride nice, but for some reason four coils on the front springs are stacked solid together and the rear springs have six coils stacked against each other! wtf?!!? i don't know if Eibach just did a bad job designing them or what but with the way they are, they basically aren't a progressive rate spring being stacked like that. there is no way i'd buy Eibach springs for my Lebaron GTS Turbo. Quote
TurboSedan Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I got them for a steal cause Josh is a good guy! you sure did after paypal fees and shipping costs i made a whopping $32 on those springs! i'm just happy to see them going on another NICE W-body instead of collecting dust in my garage. Quote
jdcutty Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I did my springs myself, but i already had the whole strut/knuckle assembly off the car while i was swapping the tranny. I also used some crappy spring compressors that made it a PITA, but I got it done. Good luck, and if you want some help when the time comes, you know how to get ahold of me. Quote
TurboSedan Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 Yeah, thanks guys! you are soooooo welcome. Quote
