R Dubya Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 yeah, alot of times its not the gaskets but the torx bolts with bad rubber seals on them. The lower ones especially. Oil runs right out of those seals are bad. Also the "v" on the covers needs RTV to properly seal them too. Quote
gp90se Posted November 13, 2006 Author Report Posted November 13, 2006 I will have 2 check the rear one, I replaced the front cover gasket a couple months ago. Thanks Quote
paulo57509 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 If your engine is anything like mine, oil leaks from everywhere. Front cover, rear main, crank position sensor...you name it. The only places it isn't leaking is the intake manifold, oil pump drive and valve covers. Quote
gp90se Posted November 25, 2006 Author Report Posted November 25, 2006 Ive been running synthetic since 70k, almost at 90k now, had very few leaks, it is the rear valve cover. Quote

gp90se Posted November 25, 2006 Author Report Posted November 25, 2006 all the gaskets are wet, but im pretty sure that the rear valve cover is having the issue at the moment. Quote
