3.4 & 2.8/3.1 flywheel

are they different.. if so how much/ what is the difference..

 

can for example the 3.4 one fit on a 3.1

 

edit ... i mean like the 3.4 DOHC with the getrag 284 and like the 3.1 /2.8 that the flywheel is used in like grand prix, cavaliers ect ect

I believe the 2.8 ones are different, they can only use a smaller clutch or something like that..

I know for a fact that 2.8 flywheels are different.

 

3.1/3.4's I always thought where different but; dohcfiend said something about fiero flywheels being the same so long as they are internally balanced. If thats the case then we can get aftermarket ones.

well heres the thing when i put my clutch back in my car was slipping like a mofo and i put a 3.4 DOHC flywheel into it (machined) so it just clicked into me that it might be that

thats what i thought.... anyways i pm'ed skalor to see what one he put in when he did the swap

i've noticed lately whenever i hit reply i immediately forget all of the advice/answers suggestions i could give when i'm on this forum.
