bigdman
i have a 93 cutty with the 4t60e and i just changed the trans fluid, i mean i flushed the whole thing. dropped the pan, cleaned it put it back on with a new gasket and filter, and i poured my new fluid into the pan, disconnected a trans cooler line and ran it into a jug and ran the car while pouring new fluid into the pan. i did this until new fluid came out. but after a 2 days now when i start the car i have to wait for 10 minutes just for it to go into gear, and sometimes when i stop it jumps out of gear and won't engage till 3.5k rpms. i also changed the vaccum modulator it was shot, but that didnt make any difference. i have no clue why this is happening but i has never done this until i changed the fluid. ns87
Maybe something went wrong with your flush? I would drop the pan again, do the filter, and just refill. I know it sucks, but I would start from there.
jdcutty
I would say that you didn't put enough fluid in there.
Robby1870
I would say that you didn't put enough fluid in there. Kinda what I'm thinking. That's what the symptoms sound like to me.
97loudcut
Yeah, don't go by what the manufacturere says...I had to add 3 extra quarts just to top it off.
19Cutlass94
Just to give you an idea, when I dropped the pan on my tranny, I ended up putting 6 quarts of tranny fluid in it, just to get it in the middle of the hatched section on the dipstick....
