lets not have alot of bull-style posts in here, and for those of you not comfortable posting your vin #... just xx the last 2 digits and it will be fine

once i get a decent list going i will make a spredsheet style website or something.

excellent idea. I am thinking of doing the same thing within the vert forum. But.... I think I would like to collect all of the spid info as well, which may reveal what was standard equipment, availible suspension, and options. may I suggest that as a great idea to incorporate?

We only had three advertised options besides exterior color(sunroof, cd, & leather). I have found at least one difference in front spring codes among TGP's though(my car the FWW springs and others posted that they had FUZ springs which are one step lower on the load rating chart Shawn has hosted on the main site).

I've had a picture of my SPID hosted for a long time on my photobucket account fwiw, maybe someone else will post some to compare it to.

FWIW i'll add info on ChiefWiggum's old Turbo STE (aka the NICEST Turbo STE i have ever seen!)

here is a pic of his SPID tag:

http://www.turbosedan.com/ste/wiggumTSTESPID.jpg

that car is located in Arizona. i believe he sold it to his neighboor.

btw Jeff - were you planning on making a website for this database or simply this thread here with all of the info? i think a separate website would rock! maybe mfewtrail (since he has already has a website/database on TGP/TSTE quarter mile times etc) or myself can make one hosted on turbosedan.com

Jeff, how many TGPs do you have listed so far? I'm up to 58(seen ~65-70 since I've started keeping track of them again, but lots of them didn't have the VIN's listed). Red w/ tan leather sure seems to be the most common of the ones I've seen so far....I hardly have any cars with cloth listed.

No Spoiler

TGP's had no option for a spoiler for what it's worth.

Really? So any TGP I see with a spoiler has been done aftermarket?

Either aftermarket or a dealer add-on.

Only actual options besides color were sunroof, leather, or cd player(1990 only). My TGP is a one option car...sunroof only.

As far as a database goes, I'm planning on adding a page to my crappy TGP site for this purpose. I need to sort through my VIN's to check for duplicates and separate by year first though. I have ~200 cars listed so far.
