Couple Problems

Ok it seems like every time I fix something on this thing, something else goes bad. The last two weekends i had to replace the Alternator on the Lumina Z34, first time was a bad alternator, second one works fine...(thanks for the info by the way, it helped a ton) Anyway, now i'm having some problems..

First, its a 1992 Chevy Lumina Z34, 3T60E, 4T60E tranny i dont know...its the T60E tho.

1) When i'm driving and reach a gear other then first then I come to a stop and finally stop theres a deffinate jump. I smell tranny problem. Could it be the Trans Postition sensor? Reason I ask, Sometimes in the morning i start the car and try to go in reverse it wont pop into reverse, then I try to go forward it wont go forward, then the Code 24 displays (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Its done it more lately as the problem with the rough stopping. Could they be connected?

2) Also as of late, my RPMs at idle seem shifty...bouncing above and below 1k. Idle Air Control?

I changed out the Air Charge Sensor and its idling above 1k (sometimes near 2k) before i changed it, it was idling below 1k. Whats should the car idle at? Should it be a steady idle or some flux in it?

3) Lastly, today as I was at an intersection and in the left turn lane I tried to accelerate the car stalled. Then the car wouldn't start. I cranked it for awhile and it slowly started and it ran fine the rest of the way home. I noticed when leaving my work parking lot there is slight hesitation when accelerating. I want to guess leaky injector or bad coil? (these werent replace since I bought the car that was sitting in tall grass for over a year) I ohm tested the front three injectors 12,12,13. I didnt test the rear 3.

This car is sucking the life out of me. 3 weekends of the month i'm working on the car. The last weekend im too tired to do anything. I still love it tho. Im tempted to sell it and get a new/newer Monte Carlo SS. Any info would help me out.

for number 2..try an idle relearn...especially since you've had the battery disconnected I'd imagine when you did the alternator?? Gotta teach the ecm the idle again....you'll find how dto do it in the FAQ section

as for how high should it idle...I'd say ~800rpm is probbaly around right..when you first start the car cold the idle will be higher and gradually come down to normal as the engine warms up... sorry I didn't read the whole post, some how I missed that part
