White93z34
started as a intake/headgasket job. initally we had coolant in the oil, decided to change intake gaskets, along with headgaskets just for the helluva it. we finally have it all back together, tried to start it, ran choppy, wanted to stall turned it off woulden't restart. pulled the airbox off to find coolant. pulled off the TB, then the plastic upper intake. coolant is EVERYHERE in there when i say that i mean it filled up the entire thing, the 2 hidden bolts were fully submerged in coolant. my only guess as to where the coolant is coming from is the heated TB coolant lines into the UIM that cool the TB, i mean thats the ONLY place where coolant comes into the UIM right? i'm sorta leaning towards a cracked UIM at this point, also i torqued all the bolts in proper sequence as well upon reinstalling. 19Cutlass94
There was a recall on those. For that exact reason, cracking. You can get a new one that fixes it.
White93z34
i thought that was the gaskets themselves, and for the record the old intake gaskets were fucked 8 ways from sunday., we are using all brand new gm gaskets.
