CSI_MuNkY Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 But get rid of that funky ass antenna! LoL... I'd agree That looks great... I really like the red calipers! Jamie Quote

Euro Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 if you do that....you can't tint your windshield Quote
runt Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Red is OK. But for the love of god people, stop painting your rims!! Quote
97loudcut Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 Red is OK. But for the love of god people, stop painting your rims!! why? Quote
Psych0matt Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 those dont look bad, but i still say get actual ones, not paint yours Quote
97loudcut Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 why..I want to stick with 17's because I want a light wheel and something easy to put new rubber on. With all my new suspension I plan to get into auto Xing next spring. Quote
runt Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I don't know. It's kinda tacky IMO. I mean it's one thing to paint up a set of stock rims, but aftermarket? Naw. Ruin your stockers if your going to do anything. I should also mention that I am a super crazy about EVERYTHING being perfect and any fuckup in the paint would piss me off. I guess more personal reasons than anything else. Quote
97loudcut Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 If I paint them I am going to do them right..it won't be half ass what so ever. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I think if you were to take the rims to a bodyshop and have them professionally paint them (with really good paint) it might work. I dunno about spray cans though.... I've done it in the past and it looked OK, but if your stock rims are in good condition I'd rather leave them be. And x2 on the red calipers!! Quote
black_97_ls Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I like em. I want to try autocrossing as well, but need a more suitable car. Quote
sclary18 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 hell yeah that looks sick, but.. if you change your mind about painting your rims yourself, and find somethin else you like off my site, let me know.. i'll hook you along with anyone else on w-body with a good deal. once again, my site is http://www.onlinerimstore.com Quote
intern8tion9l Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 that def looks good. there is always the powdercoating route. i know there is a shop near me that will do any color for like $75 a rim, and they do a damn good job. x2 on that antenna Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I duno man. Im not really liking it. The whole car looks like a black object now.... IMHO You NEED contrast on that car. And you dont have it. Quote
blkinternational Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 that looks fuckin sick bro I LOVE IT! DO IT Quote
Brian P Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 it would be ok, but if you're painting it with anything from a spray can, just throw them in the trash now. It never comes out right and will get worse with time. Quote
97loudcut Posted October 26, 2006 Author Report Posted October 26, 2006 Well maybe I will have them powdercoated gunmetal. That will be something to consider. Quote
Psych0matt Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Well maybe I will have them powdercoated gunmetal. Now that would be a decent idea Quote
Schudini Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Well maybe I will have them powdercoated gunmetal. Now that would be a decent idea x2 That way you don't waste time and $ trying it yourself first, get frustrated, and then get them cleaned and powdercoated. Quote
5speedz34 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Get the powdercoated!!!! That would be your best option and they would come out the best also. Quote
