chronic139
Does anybody know the actual size of the o-ring used in the dohc repair of the oil drive seal? Id feel i little more comfortable if I knew the actual size rather than "a large mag lite o-ring". Thanks in advance
Justin
I'd just go to your local GM dealer, or a jobber. They'll have the exact right one, no need to guess and hope like hell it's the right size. If I remember right, the new one's a new color, maybe it's a better grade rubber that won't harden as quickly as the old one.
GnatGoSplat
Are you looking for an OEM O-ring to do a proper repair, or an oversized O-ring to slip under the head of it for a quickie repair? If the OEM, I would recommend getting one from GM. It's the same as the 2.8/3.1 O-ring as well.
