5speedz34 Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Well, I pulled the intakes off of it today and started to unplug quite a few things but I ran out of time. I'm going back tommorow to pull the rest of the harness. I know I have to finish pulling: Both Crank Sensors Knock Sensor Oil Level/Sender Sensor VSS plug O2 Sensor. Fan plug Grounds + Starter wires Alt. Wires ^ I think thats it, whats the best way to get the Alt/Starter wires off. Will I have to drop the Alt and the Starter? If so what size are the starter bolts 15mm? Is the ground that is on the bell housing a 18mm also? I'm just trying to figure out what I need to get. Any Tips/Tricks would be appreciated. What other tools should I bring? I'm thinking Assorted sockets Wire cutters/pliers Screw Drivers and thats all I can think of. Quote
5speedz34 Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 Its nice to see that this board is only worried about Seafoam threads and not actual "real" work. Well, back to the regulary scheduled posts of seafoam, how to get plugs out of a 3.1/2.8 and how to make a cold air intake.. Quote
patgizz Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 the bellhousing ground stud is 18 but the nut that holds the grounds to it i think is 15. starter bolts are 15, the small nut is usually 5/16 but i've encountered 8mm and 9mm on aftermarket ones. the alternator stud should be 10mm but again it can vary. you should be able to get the alternator wires off without pulling the alt(PITA) looks like you've got a handle on everything else. took me and jeff about 2 hours to pull one off a 91. 99RegalGS Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 I believe that there are 2 knock sensors on the 96,97 engines. Don't forget the other one! I think what you said and what patgizz said cover everything else. And Tony, You started this thread after most people are in bed!! It might take a little longer to get responces!!! Quote

I know I was just pissed off, still look at these other retarded ass threads that get 6 pages long. Anyways, I got the PCM but not the harness, ran out of time as always. Someone want to pull it for me this weekend? Quote
