turbo90gp
So went to work on the TGP today, and before hand I had to cut the head off of the Passenger Rear Subframe bolt to remove the subframe. Done, no problems. Well today I went to go see if I could remove the rest of the bolt. Sure enough, SNAP, and now I have half the bolt in my vicegrips, and the other half is up inside the unibody buy the pass. floorboard. Any suggestions? The thing that pisses me off is that I am pretty sure the tranny shop who had to put in a reverse shaft rail guide cross threaded it because it came out no problem after 14 years, and about 2 years later, its all seized up. It is the only one
Crazy K
you can replace the nut and everything.......... the FSM basically tells you to air chisel it out, and replace the nut.... there is a plastiuc plug facing forward on the ares in front og the cage, that provides limited access. I broke a rear subframe bolt on my 92 lumina, I simply cut a 3 sided hole behind the carpet for access. replaced the nut, and once the new nut was threaded and locked, I bent the flap closed and sealed it with rtv, and a layer of plastic right on top to seal it forever.
