Another Interchange Question

First:

Will A Transmission Off a 95 GP with a 3100 fit a 95 Chevy Lumina with a 3100. I was Positive It would, but my dad talked to the guy at the junkyard and he said the Luminas and Monte carlos were different.

Second:

Will A motor and tranny off a 94 cutlass supreme work in a 95 GP? Looking at swapping the entire cradle and everything since its way easier. I remember something about OBD 1 vs. OBD 1.5. Does that matter in this case?

Thanks,

Mitch

To answer your first question... The transmissions are the same, both would be the 4T60E And should be a direct swap

As for your second question... The 95 GP will likely be OBD 1.5, the 94 Engine will be OBD 1....How much difference there is between the 2 I'm not 100% sure, maybe someone else can chime in with that...

They should both be OBD 1.5. The only car I believe that got OBD 1 in '94 was the last Luminas before they facelifted them... but I could be wrong.

Yeah, the 94 Lumina was the only W that year to get the 3.1L and it was OBD1.

Now that I think about it, I think your right... Based on the fact that Ben over on 60* has chipped the 91-93 engine but NOT the 94-95 engine... Makes sense that the reasoning for this is OBD 1.5...
